Economy Class Magnetic Slider - Buckyball Detent EDC Push Card

The Detent Is Loose Magnets - You Set It

Most sliders hide their detents inside the body and you live with whatever the maker decided. This one uses loose magnet spheres instead. The spheres sit in the track, and where you put them is where the plate stops.

That means two things. You can move the stopping points around until the stroke suits your thumb, and you can pull the spheres out and use them on their own - they are standard magnet balls.

Why It Is Called Economy Class

The name is honest about the intent: this is the entry point. The body is plain, the finish is straightforward, and there is no exotic metal in it. What you get is the mechanism, and the mechanism is the interesting part.

How It Feels

Magnet detents have no spring and no plastic notch, so there is nothing to wear out and no rattle. The plate is held where you leave it, and the resistance is even across the whole track.

How to use: Hold the body between thumb and fingers and push the plate along the track. Rearrange the spheres to change where it wants to stop.

Shipping: Orders are packed and handed to the carrier within 1-3 business days. International delivery to the US typically takes 10-20 business days. Free shipping on orders over $59.
