Style

One Body, Three Different Strokes

CHOC is a straight-push slider: the plate runs the length of the body in a single line, driven straight off the thumb with no rotation. What makes it worth the money is that the feel is not fixed. The detent track lives in a PEEK insert that comes out of the body, and swapping that insert changes how the slider sounds and steps.

Pick the Body

  • Zirconium Sandblasted + Stainless Steel - the heaviest option. Zirconium is dense, and the sandblasted surface grips the thumb instead of slipping.
  • Stainless Steel + PEEK - the balanced option. Lighter than zirconium, quieter, and the easiest to live with day to day.
  • Titanium Blue + Steel + PEEK - titanium body with a heat-coloured blue finish. Lighter still, and the colour is in the metal rather than a coating.
  • Black Aluminium - the lightest body. Noticeably quicker in the hand than the metal builds.
  • Zirconium Polished + Brass - polished zirconium against brass. The most contrast-heavy combination in the range.

Then Pick the Insert

The insert is where the feel actually comes from:

  • Standard Detent Plate - evenly spaced steps. The default, and the one to start with.
  • Ultra-Dense Silent Plate 0.6mm - steps at 0.6mm spacing. More, smaller steps per stroke, and quieter because the travel between them is short.
  • End-Strike Plate 0.6mm / 0.9mm - the plate hits a stop at the end of the travel instead of floating. 0.6mm is tighter, 0.9mm is looser. Both are built for 3mm beads only.

Inserts are sold on their own as well, so you can buy one body and two or three inserts rather than two complete sliders.

Bundles

The zirconium-and-steel body is also offered bundled with one insert of your choice - the cheaper way to get a second feel.

A Note on Fit

The end-strike inserts take 3mm beads. If you are running a different bead size, take the standard or silent plate.

How to use: Push the plate straight along the body with your thumb. To change the feel, remove the insert and drop in a different one.
